Our full-time Education Studies MA is a 12-month taught programme that caters for the needs of those who wish to gain an MA degree through intensive full-time study. Students have a choice of modules that total 180 credits. The course has been designed to appeal to both home and international students.

Dissertation

A number of optional modules are also available.

Course Content
All students take the following compulsory core modules:
- Research methods (30 credits)
- Dissertation (60 credits)
Students choose an additional 90 credits from the following optional modules:
- Curriculum Development (30 credits)
- Educational Leadership and Management (30 credits)
- Assessment in Education ( 30 credits)
There will also be choices from modules running on the Part Time MA Education Studies course e.g. Behaviour Management and on MA Childhood and Youth Studies e.g. Sociology of Childhood and Youth. These choices may change from year to year.
For international students wishing to study English language at post-graduate level:
- Academic Writing & Grammar (10 credits)
- Advanced Vocabulary Use & Reading (10 credits)
- Speaking & Listening (10 credits)
Entry Requirement
Minimum 2:2/2nd Division/50-55%/6.0 GPA.
Students with a study gap of 3 years or more will be required to provide two letters of recommendation (i.e. One Academic Reference and one employer reference).
