Standard entry requirements

Main

• 104 UCAS Tariff points from a minimum of 2 A Levels (or equivalent), including a pass in Psychology, Physical Education, Sports Studies or a Science subject.
• 3 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English and Maths.
• If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.0 (Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.
• An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will be required prior to commencing your course.
   

Alternatives
 

• UCAS Tariff points acquired from BTEC Level 3 Diplomas in a related subject are accepted.
• International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum of 24 points is accepted, Higher Level Biology or a related subject is required.
• UCAS Tariff Points from Access to HE Diplomas in a related subject are accepted.
• UCAS Tariff points from Scottish Advanced Highers are accepted, related subjects are required.
• UCAS Tariff points from the Irish Leaving Certificate are accepted, related subjects are required.
• The European Baccalaureate at a minimum overall grade of 60% is accepted, this must include a related subject.
• HNC qualifications in a related subject are accepted.
• HND qualifications in a related subject are accepted.

Tuition fees for international students (2022/23)
£14,300

International students starting 2022/23 (full-time, per year)
You can pay your tuition fees upfront, in full or in two instalments. We will also ask you for a deposit of £4,000 or a sponsorship letter. Details will be in your offer letter.

Careers

As our course is aligned to UK Strength and Conditioning Association standards, you’ll be able to work as a strength and conditioning coach as soon as you graduate.

You also have the option to work as a gym instructor or personal trainer if you complete our optional modules, and become a qualified member of The Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs).
This course is endorsed by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA), the professional development body for the UK's sport and physical activity sector, and the sector's only chartered professional body, meaning employers will view you as "job ready" for roles in sport and physical activity.

You might choose to be self-employed or work for a team or organisation, with professional or recreational athletes, or with inactive or older people.

Whichever path interests you most, you can be sure that you’ll graduate with the knowledge, skills and abilities that industry needs. We work with employers, and they help us review what we teach and how we teach it – offering hands-on, practical opportunities to learn through work-based projects, internships and placements.
