Standard entry requirements

Main

• 96 UCAS Tariff points from a minimum of 2 A Levels (or equivalent level 3 qualifications), including Art, Design or Media subjects.
• 3 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English.
• You will be asked to provide a digital portfolio for review and will be given the option to book a meeting to discuss this with us.
• If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.0 (Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.
• You may also be accepted to this course with an IELTS 5.5 (Academic level- with no individual score being lower than 5.5) or equivalent English Language qualification as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University, but will then be required to undertake additional compulsory free English language modules in your first year.
   

Alternatives

• UCAS Tariff points acquired from BTEC Level 3 Diplomas in a related subject are accepted.
• UCAS Tariff points from Access to HE Diplomas are accepted.
• International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum of 24 points is accepted, this must include a related subject.
• UCAS Tariff points from Scottish Advanced Highers are accepted, related subjects are required.
• UCAS Tariff points from Scottish Highers are accepted, related subjects are required.
• UCAS Tariff points from the Irish Leaving Certificate are accepted, related subjects are required.
• UCAS Tariff points acquired from the International Baccalaureate Certificate are accepted, related subjects are required.

You can pay your tuition fees upfront, in full or in two instalments. We will also ask you for a deposit of £4,000 or a sponsorship letter. Details will be in your offer letter.

Our BA (Hons) Fine Art degree opens the door to many different creative and professional opportunities.

As a student at ARU, you’ll have opportunities to exhibit your work, and develop professional skills in curating, group work, event management, and marketing and promotion. Our modules cover professional practice and include live briefs, and there’s careers and employability support on offer from day one. You can be sure you’ll develop skills and experience you need to stand out.

As a graduate you might work in fine art practice, community arts projects, prop and set making, art therapy, or museum and gallery administration and education. Or you could pursue creative roles in advertising, art direction, marketing, digital content production, as well as lecturing and teaching.

Graduation doesn’t need to be the end of your time with us. You might also choose continue your studies on our MA Fine Art or MA Printmaking degrees. Take advantage of our Alumni Scholarship and get 20% off your fees.
