Whitireia New Zealand is a tertiary education institution in New Zealand's Wellington district. Whitireia Community Polytechnic was founded in 1986, and in 2017 it became a subsidiary of the New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology. (NZIST). Whitireia offers classes at five locations: Auckland, Petone, Porirua, and Wellington. The Porirua campus is the major campus of the Whitireia, located around 20 minutes from Wellington. It was built in 1986 and is one of the most impressive institutional sites in the country.
