Master of Education MEd

The Master of Education is made up of 180 points, which includes coursework in either a subject endorsement or can be unendorsed.
 

The degree takes 12-18 months studying full-time, or up to 5 years part-time.
 

You can begin studies in February, July, or November.
 

You can choose to complete the MEd unendorsed, or endorsed in one of the options below:
 

• Curriculum and Pedagogy

• e-Learning and Digital Technologies

• Hōaka Pounamu: Te Reo Māori Bilingual and Immersion Teaching

• Inclusive and Special Education

• Leadership

• Literacy

• Positive Behaviour Support (not open to new enrolments)

• Teaching and Learning Languages

You will need to have a bachelor's degree (or an equivalent degree) with a major in Education, Psychology, or a related subject with a B grade average; or have any Aotearoa university degree and a professional teaching qualification.

You must provide evidence of your English language skills with equivalent or better results in one of the following approved tests within the past three years:
 

* LanguageCert has changed the way it reports test results, changing from the language of 'pass/fail' to a numerical score. This change does not change the score required, it is simply a change in language.
