Programme structure

 

The Master of Business Analytics is a 15-month, 180-point coursework masters programme studied over five quarters.

 

You will study six core courses (Part I) addressing data sources for the formulation of business strategies and the analytics required to inform decision-making. Topics will include business analytics and information management tools, storytelling and data visualisation, predictive analytics, and decision-making and optimisation.

 

In Part II you will choose to focus on either Marketing, Supply Chain Management or FinTech and enhance and develop your skills sets in a disciplinary context. Following the completion of a business consultancy practice course and a course in advanced project management you will complete an applied industry project.

You must have completed an undergraduate degree in business or a non-business degree in a relevant discipline such as arts, engineering, technology, or science. Your study must be from a recognised university (or similar institution), and you will need a GPE of 5.0 in the most advanced courses taken. In addition, you must have passed an undergraduate level course in business statistics (STATS 108) or equivalent.

 

If you have completed advanced course(s) in an undergraduate degree that are considered substantially similar to courses in this programme you will be required to complete substitute course(s). Advice will be provided to you on a case-by-case basis

 

International applicants must also have evidence of English language proficiency such as IELTS (score of 6.5, and no bands below 6.0) or equivalent.

The estimated programme fees for the full 180-point programme are:

• Domestic students: NZ$28,891
• International students: NZ$63,295

 

Fees are set in advance of each calendar year and will be updated on this website. Fees are inclusive of 15% GST, but do not include the Student Services Fee, course books, travel and health insurance, or living costs. Amounts shown are indicative only. In addition to the tuition fees, there is a Student Services Fee of $8.16 per point, estimated at $1,101.60 for full-time study (135 points). Fees will be confirmed upon completion of enrolment into courses.
