In this course, you will learn about Aotearoa’s health and well-being sector, then focus on gaining the knowledge and skills to become an effective community health worker. You'll learn how to work with people from diverse backgrounds, collaborate with your colleagues, and meet the needs of people with community service needs.You’ll experience a unique combination of practical on-campus learning and flexible learning from home. Entry Requirement
- Be a minimum of 17 years of age
- Must hold NCEA Level 2 or be able to demonstrate equivalent skills and knowledge
- Have a satisfactory fit and proper person check that will include a Police vet, as required for placement in the health and wellbeing sector
- International applicants must be 18 years of age or older; and have a general or academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5 under Rule 18
