Ara Institute of Canterbury is New Zealand's largest vocational training institution on the South Island. It is a thriving, dynamic, and government-funded tertiary foundation that provides world-class tertiary-level training education throughout Canterbury and Waitaki. It was established in 2016 by the merger of education providers CPIT and Aoraki Polytechnic, bringing together two renowned associations and over 200 years of collective achievement and experience.
