The University of Padua is situated in the city of Padua in the Veneto region of northern Italy. It has a remarkable history of being established in 1222 by a collective of students and teachers from Bologna. As the second-oldest university in Italy and the fifth-oldest surviving university globally, it holds great prestige. In fact, in 2022, it was recognized as the second-best university among Italian higher education institutions with more than 40,000 students.
