The American University of Rome has been dedicated to delivering a distinctive American liberal arts education to students since 1969. The students on campus hail from diverse corners of the globe and provide an exceptional educational journey. As the longest-standing American institution offering degrees in Rome, Italy, it presently offers 10 Bachelor (B.A.) programmes and 3 Master (M.A.) programmes which are all conducted in the English language.

 

The university serves as an ideal destination for students pursuing their Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religious Studies or Archaeology and Classics (with the option of supplementing with Cultural Heritage or Screen Media) or Art History (with the option of supplementing with Art Business). The American University of Rome has a student population of slightly more than 600 undergraduate and postgraduate students. Facilities

AUR is situated atop Rome's highest hill called the Janiculum. The majority of its buildings are along Via Pietro Roselli which is adjacent to a section of the Aurelian Wall. Notably, the Communications Building, often referred to as the Carini building, is located just a short stroll away on Via Carini. Within the main campus, students will find American University of Rome’s facilities such as  two gardens surrounding the central A and B buildings, as well as the Evans Hall Library and the Auriana Auditorium. Additionally, the primary instructional facility (Building B) is housed within a former Barnabite monastery.

The American University of Rome Entry Requirements

The American University of Rome (AUR) employs a 'rolling' admissions system, with a preference for early applicants. In consideration of student visa requirements, Non-EU/EEA students are strongly encouraged to submit their applications at their earliest convenience. Otherwise during the time of applications, students are asked to pertain to these American University of Rome’s entry requirements:
