• Applicants must have a Second Class Honours Grade 2 in a primary honours degree (NFQ, Level 8). The qualification must include an element of quantitative techniques, for example, graduates of Business Studies, Engineering, Computer Science, other Sciences, Mathematics, or other disciplines that have some quantitative content. 
• Consideration under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may also be given to applicants who do not meet the above entry requirements but who have 3 years of professional experience in industry.  To demonstrate 3 years of professional experience in industry, applicants will need to provide a detailed job specification of their role(s) and an interview may also be required.

The MSc Business Analytics will focus on the development of these skill sets. Typical roles include business analyst, business analytics specialist, data specialist, consultant, project manager, operations research, and IT manager.
