Program Overview

Our Industrial Physics honours degree is a unique programme offered jointly by the Department of Physics at University College Cork (UCC) and the Physical Sciences Department at Munster Technological University (MTU). The programme combines fundamental physics with hands-on industrial training, targeting careers in some of the most exciting and innovative industries in Ireland and abroad.

This BSc degree is ideal for students who wish to gain deep insight into the physics of modern technologies, and who enjoy applying this knowledge to problem-solving in real-world environments. Industrial physicists are, at heart, problem solvers and this ability to problem-solve, devising and using unconventional techniques in a wide range of industrial settings, ensures their employability.

Entry Requirement
Non-EU Candidates
Non-EU candidates are expected to have educational qualifications of a standard equivalent to the Irish Leaving Certificate. In addition, where such candidates are non-native speakers of the English language they must satisfy the university of their competency in the English language.
