The academic year is divided into two semesters. The course is taught through formal lectures, tutorials and laboratory work, with a very strong emphasis on practical work. The structure of the course is modular and each module is examined through continuous assessment and/or examinations upon its completion.
 

Semester Schedules

For admission to a programme, standard applicants must

• score the necessary CAO points and

• meet the minimum entry requirements

• Leaving Certificate in five subjects i.e. Grade O6 or H7 in five subjects. The five subjects must include Mathematics, and either English or Irish.
  
  Leaving Cert Subjects:
   
• Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics are the most helpful Leaving Certificate subjects for the course
   

IELTS (Academic)

L1: At least 6.0 with no section below 5.5
 

TOEFL

L1: At least 80 - with minimum scores: Listening- 17; Reading - 18; Speaking – 20; Writing - 17

The fees for Food and Health Science (BSc Degree) may vary from - €10,000 to €25,000 anually for tuition fees. The fee's prices may get higher for international students.
