About
Western University is a public research university located in London, Ontario, Canada. Bishop Isaac Hellmuth of the Anglican Diocese of Huron established the Western University of London, Ontario on March 7, 1878. Its 12 faculties and 3 associated university colleges provide over 36,000 students with 400 study options. It was originally known as the University of Western Ontario, but in 2012 it underwent a rebranding process and became known as Western University. It is worth noting that the Western University acceptance rate stands at 58% making it moderately competitive for students to get into.
Western's campus is one of the most beautiful in the country, spanning 400 acres of mixed architecture ranging from Gothic-style buildings to modern, sustainable structures.
