About

The Vancouver School of Theology is an evangelical theological school that shares a campus with the University of British Columbia and is officially connected to it. VST trains and develops leaders that are thoughtful, active, and giving. 

 

The university admits students regardless of their colour, age, gender, sexual orientation, or national or ethnic origin. Each year more than 200 students are admitted into the university enthusiastically to study theology. VST currently offers the following degrees and certifications:

  • Master of Divinity / Master of Divinity by Extension  
  • MA in Public and Pastoral Leadership  
  • MA PPL in Spiritual Care  
  • Master of Arts in Indigenous and Inter-Religious Studies (MAIIS)  
  • Master of Arts in Theological Studies

In a number of categories, the Vancouver School of Theology has received rankings across Canada, the continent of North America, and the entire world. In 2018, the Vancouver School of Theology received a QS international ranking as one of the ten most improved theological schools and was ranked 39th. Facilities

VST is located on the campus of the University of British Columbia (UBC) in a stunning natural setting. It is excellent for walking, cycling, and running on the beaches or through the forests. VST students contribute annually to the Alma Mater Society of the University of British Columbia (AMS). Students can use the sport, intellectual, and cultural opportunities by paying the fee.

Library Facilities 

The library at VST is called H.R. Macmillan Library. Today, the library provides services to VST students, faculty, staff, nearby theological colleges, UBC, members of the Anglican Church of Canada, Presbyterian Church in Canada, and United Church of Canada, as well as members of these churches. More than 35,000 physical goods, including books, journals, DVDs, an increasing number of e-books, and 350 e-journals, are accessible through this service. The H.R. MacMillan Library, which is situated on the ground floor of VST's new building, offers a peaceful area for solitary study and the use of the library's resources.

Vancouver School Of Theology Entry Requirements 

Whether you're a first-time applicant at VST, an undergraduate student seeking advanced status, or a returning student re-enrolling after a break, the admissions standards are the same for all applicants. Each applicant must provide the following:

  • Official transcripts from each college and high school attended (in English or with translations)
  • 2 teacher recommendations
  • Official test scores from the TOEFL (80 - 90) and IELTS (6.0 in each component)— both the tests must be taken within 2 years of your application date
  • A Resume (Reflecting past work experience)
