About

University of Toronto (Mississauga) is a public research university and one of Canada's largest institution of graduate studies. It is located in the city of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The university has five campuses; three are in the city of Toronto, one is in Scarborough and one is on Hamilton's downtown waterfront. Mississauga is a city in Southern Ontario, Canada. It is located in the Regional Municipality of Peel, and it is part of the Greater Toronto Area. The municipality of Mississauga was established on 7 June 1974 when it separated from Toronto Township. The name "Mississauga" came from the First Nations tribe named "Mississauga", which means "Great River-mouth".

U of T Mississauga was founded in 1967 with 155 students, 28 faculty members, and 40 staff people in one temporary academic facility. The campus has expanded to become UTM's (Canada's largest institution) second-largest division. More than 15,200 undergraduate and 900 graduate students, 3,400 full- and part-time staff members, 1,250 permanent faculty and staff members, and more than 69,000 alumni make up UTM at this time. 

Toronto and Scarborough campuses house most arts and science departments, while Mississauga houses all social science and humanities departments as well as business administration programs. The McMaster-Lambert campus houses

The campus is located 33 kilometres west of the university's St. George campus in Toronto on 225 acres of protected greenbelt along the Credit River. The New Science Building at U of T Mississauga, which is currently under development and will be finished in 2023, will set a new bar for environmentally friendly architecture. It will be among the most energy-efficient biological and chemical laboratory facilities in North America and will include the Centre for Medicinal Chemistry, the Forensic Science Program, wet labs, and a computing data centre. 

The acceptance rate differs according to the programme you choose. However, the acceptance percentage is often about 43%. So, if you have excellent marks and a spectacular resume, you can definitely enrol at the University of Toronto.  UTM is rooted in athletic culture. The mission of the University is to provide an all-round experience to students who are interested in nurturing their hobbies. With 900 Varsity athletes on 44 teams across 26 sports offered, UTM boats one of the largest inter-collegiate sports programs for international students alike. You also have the opportunity to compete at an even higher level at Tri-Campus Sports which are different sports leagues and tournaments across the three UTMs. Students are also allowed to refresh themselves with the availability of Drop-In sports. There are N standings, No stats and No commitments at all

Transportation

UTM offers free bus services that navigate the university and run at intervals of 15 minutes during rush hour and 30 minutes during non-peak hours. You can phone a cab, but in a city like Toronto, it's well-known that upscale transportation is extremely expensive.

Admission

University of Toronto (Mississauga) Entry Requirements

The UTM has a rigorous entry process for Canadians and international students alike. If you’re a first time undergraduate student wishing to study at University of Toronto (Mississauga) these are the official documents and exams which will be needed by the university for your admission to be considered by them. 

For admission to the University of Toronto, international students must have a minimum GPA of 3.6 on a scale of 4.0 (89-90%).

University of Toronto (Mississauga) Placements   

With the exception of a few programmes,It is important to note that  the University of Toronto, Mississauga (UTM) does not provide placement services. To assist interested students in obtaining a suitable job, it provides student support services. There is no co-op programme offered by the Rotman School of Management. But throughout the year, businesses come to the school to look for candidates for internships, part-time jobs, and full-time careers. Numerous Rotman students also get summer internships. According to the school's Employment and Salary Report for 2020–2021, the previous academic year was both exciting and difficult for both the students and the teaching staff.
