About

The Basilian Fathers founded St. Michael's in 1852 to serve Toronto's expanding Catholic community and educate the children of immigrants who had immigrated to Canada in order to ensure a brighter life for their families. St. Michael's seeks to establish an impactful faith and learning society dedicated to the pursuit of truth and purpose in our modern world. This effort is historically rooted in the educational mission shaped by the Basilians, the Sisters from the Congregations of St. Joseph and Loretto, and other significant community members. Our graduates are influential members of their communities who work to uphold and promote everyone's dignity.

St. Michael's campus is situated on the border of Toronto's Forest Hill neighbourhood, near Bathurst Street and St. Clair Avenue.
