About

Université de Moncton is located in the Canadian city of New Brunswick. It has campuses in Shippagan, Moncton, and Edmundston. Following the recommendations of the royal commission on higher education in New Brunswick, the university was established in 1963. Since that time, the organization has gained widespread recognition as the successor to a number of Acadian colleges and universities, including the Collège Saint Joseph. 

The University of Moncton - Edmundston offers a wide range of programmes throughout the year. It has an acceptance rate between 50-60%, making it one of the largest French-language universities in Canada. About 200 courses are offered every year. The university offers many internship opportunities to students each year, in the fields of Biotechnology, Interior Design, Marketing, Business Administration, Health Services, Arts, and many more.

The university is located in the city of Edmundston, which is about 1 hour and 15 minutes away from Moncton. It has its own dormitories for students to stay in while attending classes. The campus is also equipped with modern facilities such as a gym, library, auditoriums, computer labs, and more. The Edmundston campus offers 143 programmes, which are divided among 8 faculties: Administration, Arts and Social Sciences; Education; Engineering; Health Sciences and Community Services; Law and Graduate Studies (LAS); Science. The school also offers a special program for students interested in learning French, because it is the second most-spoken language in the country.

The University of Moncton in Edmundston is one of the biggest Francophone universities in Canada. The university is one of the biggest public schools in New Brunswick. Facilities

The University of Moncton's Edmundston campus is located on Boulevard Hebert in Edmundston, Canada. The site comprises a library, an auditorium, a lecture hall, an eating area, and a housing facility, among other things. The Madawaska History Museum and the Colline Gallery are both on campus and host a variety of programmes, exhibitions, and artistic works. The school also has a health and wellness centre named the Louis-J-Robichaud, which features a swimming pool, a gym, and athletic fields, among other amenities.

 

Library Facilities 

Rhea - Larose Library at the Edmundston campus is open to students, faculty, and staff all over. The library welcomes its readers Monday to Friday 8:30 AM. to 9 PM. The library provides a wide range of resources to its patrons, including printed books and newspapers along with databases that contain online articles from periodicals—allowing users to access geographic atlases, dictionaries, and statistics in addition to traditional texts. Students can also opt for silent and group study on prior notice. 

Housing Facilities

The Louis-Cyr residence is the on-campus housing at the University of Moncton at Edmundston. The building is situated right next to L'Université's main building, and its proximity to several shops makes this a convenient place for students who want to be near campus without paying high rent prices. First-year students can apply for accommodation under the Guaranteed Housing Program. The studio and single room options come equipped with various facilities, including a bed (in the case of the former) or sink/storage cabinet plus a work desk and chair; kitchenette; private bathroom. Cable connection, high-speed internet—and a laundry room in some units.

Dining Facilities

Édupôle kitchen at the Edmundston campus fulfils all the nutritional needs of students studying here. Not only them but it is open to families, staff, and faculty as well. You can choose your meal plan according to your preferences (vegetarian, gluten-free, or vegan). It is open from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM. to 4 PM.

University Of Moncton (Edmundston) Entry Requirements
