About
Founded in 1789, the University of King's College (UKC) is located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. It is also the oldest chartered university in Canada and the first English-speaking university in the Commonwealth founded outside of the United Kingdom. The institution is popular among prospective students for its Foundation Year Program and it provides a thorough and multidisciplinary study of Western culture through outstanding literature intended for first-year college students. Additionally, it is renowned for its upper-year multidisciplinary programs, especially in contemporary studies, early modern studies, and the history of science and technology. The institution also houses a journalism school that draws students from all over the world to its demanding Master of Journalism programs and its Master of Fine Arts in creative nonfiction degree which is the first-ever in Canada. The university has around 2,500 courses, 60+ degree options, and over 98 exchange programs. The University of King’s College acceptance rate stands at 13% with around 29,600 students enrolled at the university out of which 11,700 are graduate students from more than 150+ countries all over the world.
Leading digital material is produced through its undergraduate journalism programs. Despite being founded as the King's Collegiate School in Windsor, Nova Scotia in 1788, the university moved to Halifax in 1920 when its original building was destroyed by fire. Dalhousie University, which has since maintained a common faculty of Arts and Social Sciences with King's, assisted in making the migration possible. Through this collaboration, King's students have complete access to Dalhousie's resources. Under its own charter, the university maintains its independence despite this cooperation. The college is situated in the campus' northwest quadrant of Dalhousie University.

Facilities
The Oxford-Cambridge model of small colleges served as the foundation for the attractive, well-maintained University of King's College facilities. UKC's campus is situated on the northwest corner of Dalhousie University's Studley campus in Halifax's south end. The famous beachfront promenade is 20 minutes and downtown is 15 minutes away, respectively, from the school. Almost all students take part in a variety of clubs and societies, such as the King's Theatrical society. The university offers non-competitive programs for athletes as well as eight varsity sports teams. One in three students participates in the campus's on-campus employment, which helps them pay their tuition and gain marketable skills. The chapel, library, "The Pit" black-box theater, lodge, Noir gymnasium, academic buildings, arts, and administration building, etc. are some of the additional facilities on campus. King's sports teams are included in The Atlantic Colleges Athletic Association (ACAA). The Blue Devils are the moniker of the varsity athletic teams at the university. Men's and women's basketball, soccer, badminton, rugby, and women's volleyball are among the sports teams.

University of King's College Entry Requirements
UKC invites applications for three terms which begin in January, June, and September. The Dalhousie University Application or King’s Online Application Portal can be used by students who plan on applying to the university. The application fee is CA$ 65 for undergraduate studies and CA$ 75 for postgraduate studies. University of King's College Placements
The graduates and alumni can take advantage of the University of King's College Placements & Specialized Career Services. Each semester, it plans activities and career fairs. There are several full-time and part-time jobs available, both on and off campus. The King's Co-op Bookstore, Wardrobe, and Gallery all have part-time openings for students on campus.
