The UBC School of Nursing BSN Program is an accelerated program leading to a BSN degree. Currently, students enter this UBC program in Year 3 either after completing a bachelor degree or achieving a minimum of 48 credits in another field of study at UBC or another recognized college or university. All nursing courses are taken in Years 3 and 4 plus a summer term between these years, resulting in a five term BSN program (i.e., 20 consecutive months of study). The BSN program offers a program of study to students with advanced standing or previous bachelor degrees and prerequisite courses. Students enter directly into third year level courses, and focus exclusively on nursing courses so they may complete the BSN degree in 20 months.

Academic Eligibility:
 

• Applicants with a completed Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) 

• Those who have completed a min. of 48 non-nursing university credits
   

Indian student eligibility:
 

General admission requirements for Indian students are:
 

• Graduation from a university-preparatory program at a senior secondary school: Higher Secondary School Certificate awarded on completion of Standard XII. Certificates must be official. Photocopies are acceptable if certified by the school principal, head, or counselor. Notarized copies are not acceptable.
   

Degree-specific requirements: 
 

• Science

• Math (Standard XII)

• Chemistry (Standard XII)

• Physics (Standard XII) (Physics may be waived with grades of A in Senior Math and Senior Chemistry)
   

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
 

IELTS  International English Language Testing System (Academic)    6.5, with no part less than 6.0
 

TOEFL Overall: 90

The fees for Bachelor of Science in Nursing [B.S.N] may vary from  - $5729 to $25,000 anually for tuition fees. The fee's prices may get higher for international students.

As a professional nurse, and a graduate of our program, you will be well-equipped to offer excellent service and garner high satisfaction from your new role. Some of our graduates maintain their high level of skilled practice in acute care settings. Others contribute to Canadian health education with research in oncology, geriatrics or with disadvantaged populations in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. Still others move into leadership roles, pushing the boundaries of nursing care in hospitals, agencies, extended care and other institutions. Each day is anything but routine!
