As a student in this program, you'll go a long way in just 28 weeks, learning the most current practices in precision machining while earning an Ontario College Mechanical Techniques Certificate — a credential that employers respect.Sheridan's unsurpassed tool and die training facilities feature the most current, sophisticated machinery, including Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment – the same industry-standard equipment you'll use in the workplace.When you graduate from this program, you may be eligible to enter directly into Year 2 of Sheridan’s Mechanical Technician – CNC & Precision Machining diploma program. You may also get credit for the Level 1 in-school training requirements to apply to an apprenticeship, giving you a great advantage as you work towards completing your tool making or general machinist apprenticeship.
