Overview
About
The University of Windsor, located in Ontario, has a business school called the Odette School of Business (OSB). The school provides a number of programmes with a focus on marketing, strategy, entrepreneurship, supply chain, and business analytics, accounting, human resources, and finance. The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business has recognized the Odette School of Business (AACSB).
The Department of Business Administration was created in 1953 as a separate department from the Department of Economics by Dr Gilbert Horne, who would go on to become the first dean of the Odette School of Business. The inaugural graduating class of the three-year Bachelor of Commerce programme, which consisted of sixteen students, received their degrees in 1955. The first MBA class graduated in 1963 after the inaugural Honours Bachelor of Commerce class in 1960.
The Odette Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) Honours Degree, which offers both non-cooperative and cooperative education alternatives, is their signature curriculum. This extensive four-year programme covers all the important core topics in business study, providing students with a solid grounding in the subject. You might decide to incorporate another discipline into your formal business study. Through combined programmes with the Departments of Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Political Science, Psychology, and Women's & Gender Studies, you can simply combine instruction in another area with your BComm education. The school also offers degree completion programmes with chances for advanced standing for degree holders.
In graduate programmes, Odette provides extensive MBA, Master of Management, Odette MBA Professional Accounting Specialization (PAS), and the MBA for Managers and Professionals (M&P). All these programs are created to foster the technical expertise, interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking, and expert decision-making abilities necessary to succeed in challenging work contexts.
