About

Northern College first opened its doors in 1967. It is a representative of several prestigious organisations, including the CCAA, ACCC, and AUCC. The college has four campuses across the state of Ontario, Canada. Each campus concentrates on a specific area of study to lay a solid foundation for the discipline.

Haileybury Campus: Students at the Haileybury Campus further their education in the cutting-edge Veterinary Sciences Center. In their labs, they have cutting-edge technology, such as an underwater treadmill.

Moosonee Campus: It offers high-skill training in the field of technology, trades, and apprenticeship programmes to James Bay coastal communities.

Kirkland Lake Campus: The welding engineering school is becoming well-known on a global scale for the quality of its instruction. It is the first institution in North America authorised to teach welding to students.

Timmins Campus: This is the college's most recent campus, having opened in 2010. It specialises in providing cutting-edge technical engineering and trade courses. It is the ideal blend of urban and rural settings.

With the exception of those in their first semester, every student is required to complete a survey in February of each year, rating their satisfaction with campus events and programmes. Students can express their opinions about other students, the college's atmosphere, and the staff members who work there.

Northern College offers courses in the areas of Business and Office Administration, Community Services, Health Sciences and Emergency Services, Veterinary Sciences, Welding Engineering Technology, and Post-secondary preparation. While completing the course, the students are free to apply for jobs on campus as well as work at nearby businesses on a part-time basis. If they are interested, the students who completed their post-graduate programme at the college may later join its faculty committee.

The Northern College Alumni Association focuses on alumni recruitment, regular updates, and effective alumni communication with current students and college authorities. By supporting community development initiatives, such an association also contributes to the success of college communities. Graduates who are members of the Alumni Association have access to job opportunities that advance their professional development.

  • Need-based scholarships

Finances

Most international students are obligated to show proof of sufficient funds to obtain a visa. While some students may have the opportunity to make use of scholarships, not all students cut the eligibility to get a scholarship or a grant. Moreover, not all scholarships cover 100% of your study abroad expenses. At such times, most students resort to acquiring education loans to avoid the financial hassles associated with studying at the Northern College. For Indian students, UniCreds is the ideal education loan marketplace if you’re looking for low-interest rates and free consultation services!

Accommodation

There are several student housing options available for students planning to attend the Northern College. You may select from a wide choice of affordable yet elegant student flats, halls of residence, studios, en-suites, and more! You have the option of staying on campus in the university halls of residence or a private residence. Because of their proximity to the university, on-campus housing options may be ideal; nevertheless, they tend to fill up fast and are more expensive.

UniAcco simplifies the process of finding student housing and offers a variety of options. As a result, students can select from a wide range of available student accommodations near the university, such as luxury studios, en-suites, and shared apartments that are more inexpensive and student-friendly.
