About
Goodman School of Business is a business school at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. The business school provides undergraduate and graduate-level education options. On October 12, 2012, Brock made the announcement that the Goodman School of Business would replace the Faculty of Business. The school bears the name of Ned Goodman's family, a businessman and financial specialist. The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International has granted The Goodman School of Business accreditation. Only 20 business schools in Canada and less than 5% of all business schools globally have achieved this accreditation, which is the gold standard in management education.
The Goodman School of Business is located in Taro Hall. It was created by Moriyama & Teshima Architects and debuted in 1990. Administrative offices, such as the Dean's office and lecture halls, are the main uses of Taro Hall. It has three lecture halls for graduate students (MBA, MAcc, IMAcc, and MSc), six lecture halls for undergraduate students (BBA & BAcc), and several break-out rooms for group study. For graduate business students alone, a student lounge and computer commons are available.
The Under Graduate Programmes at GSB
- The BBA curriculum blends business courses with those in the social sciences, humanities, mathematics, and sciences. It is career-oriented. Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, General Management, Human Resources Management, Information Systems, International Business, Marketing, Operations Management, and Public Administration are just a few of the many disciplines available in the curriculum.
- A BAcc degree in accounting is the second-largest co-op programme
- In collaboration with four top business institutions in Europe, the Goodman School of Business offers a Co-op International Dual Degree Programme. Through this programme, GSB students will spend the first five semesters at the Goodman School of Business and the final three or four semesters at one of the following international partner schools: Dublin City University, EBS Business School, NEOMA Business School, or EBS Business School at Reutlingen University (Ireland).
The Graduate Programmes at GSB
- The full-time MBA programme begins each September. It recent grads professional development. Students can choose to complete a basic MBA, or they can specialize in accounting, business analytics, finance, operations management, marketing, or human resource management.
- The MAcc programme offers a graduate degree in accounting and business-related fields. CPA Canada has accredited both the BAcc and MAcc.
- The two-year MSc programme, which is thesis-based, focuses on business research in one of four areas of study: accounting, finance, marketing, or management science. Students from a range of academic fields who have finished a four-year undergraduate degree are eligible for the programme.
Ranking
The School placed 12th out of 20 Canadian business schools in 2020, its first year of participation in the QS Global MBA Rankings, with the distinction of being ranked first in Canada for the Class and Faculty Diversity indicator group. Brock University received an A+ in Campus climate from The Globe and Mail's 2013 University Report Card, which is a nationwide assessment of student happiness (4th in Canada). GSB was proudly placed first in Canada in Excellent Business Schools by a survey of Deans.

St. Catharine Campus, serves as the main campus, and adding to the main campus there is also Hamilton Campus. The library of Brock University of which GSB is a part is a reputable one. Library Facilities
The James A. Gibson Library of Brock university has working hours from 8 am - 11 pm. The library has the most unique archives and special collections.
