Overview
About
In the province of Saskatchewan, Cumberland community college was founded in 1974. The initial course offerings began in the fall of 1975. It was rebranded to Cumberland Regional College in 1988 to reflect an expanded regional focus and a new mandate under the Regional Colleges Act (1986). The College got its official title in about 2008. The College principally meets the research and skills needs of northeast Saskatchewan's communities and business partners.
In a number of subjects and occupations, Cumberland College offers university programmes, college certificate and diploma programmes, and academic upgrading. Students are given career counselling and other support services by the college to ensure their success.
Students who complete ABE training can get a certificate comparable to Grade 12, which makes it easier for them to transition to either post-secondary study or work. Work key skills are the foundational abilities that make learning all other abilities easier. They are necessary for success in work, education, and life.
The college is located in Saskatchewan and is one of the seven regional colleges here. Cumberland is a small rural college providing personalized learning to its students many of whom happen to be from the province itself. It houses more than 300 students in partnership with the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Regina. The college is known to have an acceptance rate of 98%. In the past years, many international students of many races have been attending college enthusiastically.
A strong ongoing training programme at the college offers first aid, safety, and corporate training to local residents and businesses. Indigenous students and communities, including Yellow Quill First Nation and Shoal Lake Cree Nation, are closely connected to the college.

Finances
Most international students are obligated to show proof of sufficient funds in order to obtain a visa. While some students may have the opportunity to make use of scholarships, not all students cut the eligibility to get a scholarship or a grant. Moreover, not all scholarships cover 100% of your study abroad expenses. At such times, most students resort to acquiring education loans to avoid the financial hassles associated with studying at the university. For Indian students, UniCreds is the ideal education loan marketplace if you’re looking for low-interest rates and free consultation services!

Cost of Living
Saskatchewan is blessed with natural beauty, the mountains, lakes and museums are places every student here should visit. Saskatchewan has not been known to draw foreign immigrants over the past ten years. But recent economic changes have increased the number of job options. And this increase is reflected in the recent increase of new immigrants to this university town. Because of the severe labour scarcity, it is growing in popularity among job searchers. Compared to other big Canadian cities like Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal, Regina offers much more cheap housing costs. If you intend to rent in Saskatchewan, there are various neighbourhoods to take into account. Your rent payment will depend on the area and the size of your apartment.
