Sociology is the scientific study of social behaviour. Sociologists attempt to reach a deeper understanding of people and their social environment and offer a special angle of vision about our daily lives.

At Concordia University of Edmonton, the Department of Sociology’s primary goal is to help students develop a strong working knowledge of the theory, concepts, methodology, publications, and practices in the field of sociology.

Entry Requirement
Five program-specific Grade 12 subjects with a minimum overall admission average of 65%.
- English Language Arts 30-1
- Mathematics 30-1 or Mathematics 30-2
- Three subjects from Group A, B, C or D. A maximum of one Group B subject and one Group D subject may be used for admission.
