About
Campion College, a private liberal arts college based in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, is led by the Jesuits. Campion's mission is to educate men and women for service through a broad spectrum of academic disciplines. Campion College was founded in 1917 by the Society of Jesuit Fathers of Canada. It was named after St. Edmund Campion, a 16th-century English Jesuit priest and martyr who taught at Oxford University for many years before he was arrested on charges of treason against Queen Elizabeth I.
The institution is based on the main campus of the University of Regina, which is nestled in one of North America's largest urban parks. The Provincial Legislature, as well as centres for education, the arts, and entertainment, are all located in the 2,300-hectare Wascana Center.
Through Campion College, about 700 students are enrolled in the University of Regina's Humanities and Social Sciences (previously Arts), Science, and Media, Art, and Performance (formerly Fine Arts) faculties. The University of Regina's main campus, which is located in the scenic Wascana Centre, is where Campion College is located.
