About

Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology originated in 1967, deriving its name from the indigenous inhabitants of the area. It came into being through the merging of the Eastern Ontario Institute of Technology, established in 1957, and the Ontario Vocational Centre, established in 1965. Celebrating 51 years of excellence in higher education, the College has experienced substantial growth since its inception and continues to expand. Recently, all three Algonquin College campuses have completed significant expansion projects.

 

Algonquin College has collaborated with CDI College, a private career college situated in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), to introduce an innovative approach to tertiary education in Canada for international students. CDI College will deliver Algonquin College programmes at their GTA campuses, commencing in Mississauga in autumn 2022. Upon completion of Algonquin College - Mississauga courses through CDI College, students will receive an Algonquin College qualification.
