Victoria University is a public research university in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is a Western university and one of Australia's 39 public universities. It is regarded as a dual-sector public institution providing both higher education and Technical & Further Education (TAFE) degrees. The university was founded in 1916 and was granted university status in 1991. It has been providing accessible education to students in Melbourne's west and beyond for over a century.
