As part of the Graduate Diploma in Science, you undertake a research project in a specialised area of science, under the guidance and supervision of an academic staff member who is expert in your selected area.

Course Content
Your studies will comprise one year of full-time 4000 level honours units of study in a single science subject area, including a major research project, or two years part-time. Your study plan will be determined in consultation with your supervisor.
Entry Requirement
To qualify for admission to the Graduate Diploma in Science, you must:
- have qualified for or be a graduate with a Bachelor degree from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification from another tertiary institution;
- have completed a relevant science major (i.e. minimum of 24 credit points of 3000-level units of study) relating to the intended project discipline;
- satisfy any additional criteria set by the relevant Head of School or Discipline.
Fees & Scholarships
Tuition Fee for International Students (Year 1): $54,000 (indicative only)

For international students, the tuition fee is for Year 1 of full-time study of 48 credit points (1.0 EFTSL). However, for courses that require completion of less than 48 credit points (Sydney Professional Certificates, Graduate Certificates and some Graduate Diplomas which are less than 48 credit points), the fees indicated are based on the total credit points required for completion of that course as listed in the 'Course details' section.

The tuition fee that you will pay depends on the calendar year in which you undertake your study in the course, and your study load.
This indicative tuition fee is subject to annual increase each year of your study, effective at the start of each calendar year.
