A successful applicant for admission to the Graduate Diploma in Cancer and Haematology Nursing will hold

• a pre-registration nursing degree from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification; or 
• an embedded graduate certificate in this discipline from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification. 
   

In exceptional circumstances the Dean may admit applicants without these qualifications who, in the opinion of the school, have qualifications and evidence of experience and achievement sufficient to successfully undertake the award.
 

In addition, the applicant is required to be a registered nurse in Australia or overseas and satisfy the English language proficiency requirements . Domestic applicants are required to have a minimum of one year's experience as a registered nurse and be working in cancer and haematology nursing. International applicants are required to have a minimum of one year’s experience in cancer and haematology nursing.

Tuition Fee for International Students (Year 1): $45,000 (indicative only)
 

For international students, the tuition fee is for Year 1 of full-time study of 48 credit points (1.0 EFTSL). However, for courses that require completion of less than 48 credit points (Sydney Professional Certificates, Graduate Certificates and some Graduate Diplomas which are less than 48 credit points), the fees indicated are based on the total credit points required for completion of that course as listed in the 'Course details' section.

The tuition fee that you will pay depends on the calendar year in which you undertake your study in the course, and your study load.
This indicative tuition fee is subject to annual increase each year of your study, effective at the start of each calendar year.

Graduates of this course will be recognised as having advanced knowledge relevant to cancer and haematology nursing.

Nurses who work in all areas of cancer and haematology nursing, including care delivered in specialist units, community care, acute care, inpatient and home-based care, are essential to providing support to patients and their families.

With specialised knowledge and skills, cancer and haematology nurses will contribute to important decisions about future trends in treatment, patient care and disease prevention.
