These electives may be any courses offered in the School of Education, including the educational leadership courses noted above and additional research methodology courses (i.e., you may take, in total, up to six educational leadership courses or more than one research methodology course). If you wish to pursue further studies in research later on, it is recommended that you take a research methods course (i.e. EDST5101, EDST5120, or EDST5457) as one education elective.

To gain entry into the Master of Educational Leadership, you’ll need:

• A recognised Bachelor degree and a postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g. Graduate Diploma of Education or Master of Teaching)

OR
 

• A four year pre-service teacher education qualification, including professional experience, equivalent to the qualifications required for Graduate teacher status in NSW.

Credit transfer

​​​​​​​You can apply to have credit points from previous study applied to the Master of Educational Leadership. The maximum credit transfer you can apply for is 50% (24 units of credit, or three courses). Recognised courses must have been completed within the last ten years, provided the content is relevant and/or meet BOSTES requirements.
