Course structure
 

To gain the Master of Sports Rehabilitation you must complete 150 points comprising of:
 

• Six core subjects

• Four elective subjects

• One capstone subject.
   

Alternative exit pathways are available through the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma of Sports Medicine.
 

Workload
 

The estimated hours required for each subject is between 15-19 hours per week, but this varies for each student and depends on your task management and planning, familiarity with the material, reading style and speed.

In order to be considered for entry, applicants must have completed:
 

• A bachelor degree or equivalent in the discipline of Physiotherapy, Medicine, Podiatry, Exercise Science or another relevant discipline; and

• At least three years of documented practice experience in clinical sport or health.
   

Meeting these requirements does not guarantee selection.
 

In ranking applicants, the Selection Committee will consider:
 

• Prior academic performance; and

• Professional work experience.
   

• TOEFL (internet-based): total score at of least 79 and scores of 21 for writing, 18 for speaking, 13 for reading and 13 for listening. To submit your scores when you apply, use our TOEFL Institution Code: 0974.
   

• IELTS: total score of at least 6.5 in the Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS), with no bands less than 6.0.

The Master in Sports Rehabilitation course prepares graduates for a varied and dynamic career in both clinical and sports environments. This course will open up rewarding career opportunities for you both locally and internationally.
 

Graduates can expect to work across a range of healthcare settings in a specialist rehabilitation capacity. You will be qualified to create treatment plans to promote movement, reduce pain, and restore function to injured active people. Furthermore, you will have the experience to help optimise patient health through a range of rehabilitation strategies and exercise plans. Our graduates will be sought after to work collaboratively, alongside other health professionals to improve patient health.
 

There are also professional opportunities available for graduates of this course in recreational and professional sporting organisations. You will have excellent prospects to work with teams and across sports events. You will be well-placed to work closely with athletes and coaches.
