Melbourne Business School is a business school located in Melbourne, Australia. It was established in 1955 and is now part of the University of Melbourne. The business school has three campuses in Australia, namely in Melbourne and Sydney. The very first Master of Business Administration was awarded in 1965 which was also the first MBA degree in Australia. The school enrols more than 800 students each year with an acceptance rate of 37%.
MBS offers a range of business programmes, including an MBA, Executive MBA, Master of Marketing, Master of Management, Master of Finance, and a range of Executive Education programmes. The MBA programme is offered in Leadership, Data Analysis, Managerial Economics, Managerial Ethics and the Business Environment, Financial Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Operations & Business Strategy. There are also numerous short courses at the business school three management programmes, 12 leadership programmes, two change programmes, four strategy programmes, and one marketing, finance, and human resource programme.
The institution is accredited by AACSB International and EQUIS, two of the world's leading business school accreditation organisations. The school is also a member of the Global Alliance in Management Education (CEMS) and the Partnership in International Management (PIM) network. The primary office and administrative building are located on the Melbourne Business School's main campus, which is located in the suburb of Carlton in Melbourne.
