Program Overview

You will gain a combination of technical and managerial knowledge and skills, which will provide you with a holistic approach to effectively manage information technology in organisations. You will also develop a solid grounding in the principles and practice of information technology and an in-depth knowledge of information and communication technologies and information systems. With this knowledge, you will be able to confidently manage the functional responsibility for choosing, implementing and maintaining information systems and technology within, and across, organisations.

Course Content

Students must complete the following courses:

- Enterprise Mobility - 7113IBA
- Social and Professional Issues in IT - 7101ICT (see Note 1)
Students must complete 30 credit points from the following ICT foundation courses:
- Programming Principles 1 - 7001ICT
- Database Design - 7003ICT
- Systems Development - 7002ICT
- Introduction to Information Systems - 7610ICT
Students must complete the following courses:
- List A electives
- List B electives (see Note 2)
Entry Requirement
To be eligible for admission to the Master of Information Systems and Information Technology Management, a student must hold:
- a Bachelor degree from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum GPA of 4.5 (using a 7.0 scale).
Students who hold a Bachelor degree in Information Technology from a recognised University (or other tertiary institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum GPA of 4.5 (using a 7.0 scale) will be eligible for 40 credit points of advanced standing towards the Masters program.
