The criteria for admission to this Honours program are:
 

• successful completion of the Griffith Bachelor of Health Science or an equivalent qualification from another university and
• a GPA of at least 5.0 over the second and third year of the Bachelor degree.

The Program Director will take the following into consideration when assessing applications for admission:
 

• the suitability of the proposed dissertation topic, the resources available to support the candidature and the availability of appropriate supervision and
• the preparedness of the applicant to undertake the degree in terms of the elapsed time since the prospective candidate qualified for the award of a Bachelor degree and the academic preparation provided by the Bachelor degree for the candidate's proposed dissertation topic.

Tuition fee
$34,000 (80 CP)

The indicative annual tuition fee is calculated based on a standard full-time study load which is usually 80 credit points (two full-time trimesters). The indicative annual tuition fee is based on current conditions and available data and should only be used as a guide. These fees are reviewed annually and are subject to change.

Graduates of the program will be able to plan and conduct research in health science and related disciplines, and therefore will be well-placed for positions in the private, not for profit, and public sectors. In addition, graduates will be eligible to apply for admission to higher degree research programs, thereby preparing them for high level research careers.
