About
Curtin University was formerly known as the Curtin University of Technology and Western Australian Institute of Technology (WAIT). It is an Australian public research university with its headquarters in Bentley, Perth, Western Australia. Curtin University’s acceptance rate stands at 50% with around 50,000 students enrolled at the university.
The Western Australian Parliament enacted a piece of legislation in 1986 that granted Curtin a university status. Since then, the university has grown and now has campuses in Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai, and Mauritius in addition to its connections to 90 other universities across 20 nations. The institution has five primary faculties and 95 centres for specialised study. In Sydney, it had a campus from 2005 until 2016.
