Master of Communication

The Master of Communication comprises 120 credit points, as follows:
 

Foundation subjects (70cp)
 

• Research Methods and Data Visualisation

• Public Relations Masterclass

• Social Media: Risks and Opportunities

• Human Communication Theory

• Advertising Masterclass

• Relational Communication

• Strategic Organisational Communication and Leadership
   

General electives (10cp)
 

Student must choose one (1) subject from the list of available postgraduate subjects from across the University
 

Research option (40cp)
 

Students must choose one of the below options on commencement of their program
 

• Major Research Project (Part A) (20 credit points)

• Major Research Project (Part B) (20 credit points)
   

Or
 

• Research Project

• Plus three (3) general elective subjects

Academic entry requirements

Completion of an Australian Bachelor degree or equivalent from an approved institution in either criminology, sociology, legal studies, psychology, humanities/arts or business studies.

The below fees are based on the total estimated program fee divided by the number of standard full-time semesters required to complete the program. Fees may vary based on which subjects are selected and the number of subjects enrolled in for each semester.

• Students commencing study : $17,453* per semester average
   

Total program fee:
 

• Students commencing study : $52,360

The Master of Communication program allows students to further their careers in Communication by equipping them with an appropriate mix of theory and practice suited to industry.  
 

The Master of Communication program will equip students with the skills to focus on interpersonal and group interactions in the workplace; communication challenges posed by an increasingly diverse and virtual workforce; planning for internal and external communication in private, public, and non-profit organisations; media relations; and management of risks, among other topics. 
 

Effective communicators are essential in all organisations and Bond University Master of Communication graduates are in high demand. Upon graduation, you could expect to find employment in management and professional roles, such as:
