Program Overview

The Diploma of Business offers you a broad foundation for a range of career opportunities in the corporate sphere. Core subjects provide you with the fundamentals of accounting and marketing. You will gain core skills in managing teams, leadership, communicating in groups, conflict resolution, problem-solving, individual and group decision making, information management, the use of different network technologies, and an understanding of ethics, morals and cultural beliefs. If you are pathwaying to the Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Commerce or the Bachelor of Business Data Analytics you will take Economics. If you are pathwaying to the Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management or Bachelor of Sport Management you will take Concepts of Strategy. Successful completion of the Diploma of Business guarantees you a place in most undergraduate degrees at Bond University, including the Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Business Data Analytics, Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management or Bachelor of Sport Management with a possible 80 credit points credited towards your new program of study.

For those applicants who do not currently have the required academic qualifications, there are a number of alternative entry pathways:
- Bond University Tertiary Preparation programs
- Bond University Diploma programs
- Other institutional Tertiary Preparation Programs
- Vocational education and training qualifications (Certificate IV and above)
- Prior higher education experience (at this university or another)
- Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) result 144
- Professional or para-professional qualifications/experience
- Employment experience (ANZCO Skill level 3 for 1 year full-time equivalent) verified by a statement of service from the employer stating the position title and length of service and a very brief statement on the tasks undertaken.
