Program Overview
Projects are vehicles for change. Organisations are increasingly becoming project-orientated and are seeking creative ‘can-do’ graduates with skills in communication, leadership, team management, change management, and process improvement. Our Bachelor of Project Management provides graduates who can find work in any industry sector, and for the first time in Queensland, provides a direct career path from school to professional certification as a project manager.
The Bachelor of Project Management curriculum is built around three foundational semesters, followed by three practice semesters. In the first year, you’ll focus on business acumen, project framework, process analysis and core skills development. In the second year, the emphasis is on technical, tactical and strategic decision making.
The program introduces students to how to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, procurement, communications, and stakeholders, culminating in a capstone subject on project integration management.
Most project management degrees worldwide are only offered at the postgraduate level. By offering a specialist Project Management undergraduate degree, Bond is the first university in Queensland to create a direct career pathway from school to professional certification as a Project Manager.
The Bachelor of Project Management can be completed in 6 semesters of full-time study. Thanks to Bond University’s accelerated three-semesters-per-year timetable, you can graduate in just 2 years or continue on to postgraduate studies at the Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Masters level.
