The Bachelor of Jurisprudence program comprises 24 subjects:
 

University core subjects (3)
 

• CORE11-001 Critical Thinking and Communication

• CORE11-002 Collaboration, Teams and Leadership

• CORE11-003 Responsibility, Integrity and Civil Discourse
   

Plus: Beyond Bond: Professional Development and Community Engagement
 

Law subjects (12)
 

Two compulsory Law subjects:
 

• LAWS11-105 Legal Foundations A

• LAWS11-106 Legal Foundations B
   

AND
 

Ten elective Law subjects:
 

• Choose 10 from the list of undergraduate law subjects.
   

Humanities subjects (8)
 

• Humanities Major: students must choose one Major (6 subjects) from the Faculty of Society and Design; AND

• Choose two subjects from the list of Faculty of Society and Design undergraduate subjects.
   

OR
 

• Choose eight subjects from the list of Faculty of Society and Design undergraduate subjects.

Alternative entry pathways

For those applicants who do not currently have the required academic qualifications, there are a number of alternative entry pathways:

• Bond University Tertiary Preparation programs

• Bond University Diploma programs

• Other institutional Tertiary Preparation Programs

• Vocational education and training qualifications (Certificate IV and above)

• Prior higher education experience (at this university or another)

• Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT)

• Professional or para-professional qualifications/experience

• Employment experience verified by a statement of service from the employer stating the position title and length of service and a very brief statement on the tasks undertaken.

The below fees are based on the total estimated program fee divided by the number of standard full-time semesters required to complete the program. Fees may vary based on which subjects are selected and the number of subjects enrolled in for each semester.
 

Semester program fee:

• Students commencing study : $21,040* per semester average
   

Total program fee:

• Students commencing study : $126,240

Legal qualifications are an excellent foundation for high level careers in a diverse range of related fields including finance, accounting, business, teaching, public service, management consulting, human resources, politics, investment banking, advocacy, the police force and the criminal justice system.

Law is increasingly regarded as an excellent preparation for a wide range of careers and, with arts and sciences, is an important source of liberal education. Careers in politics, business, banking and finance, teaching, public service, industrial relations and international relations are among the many open to Jurisprudence graduates. Unlike the Bachelor of Laws degree, a Bachelor of Jurisprudence is not designed to provide a qualification for the professional practise of law.
