Up to $40,000 scholarship to support high-achieving international students to pursue coursework studies at the University of Sydney.

  • The Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarships are awarded to exceptional international students
  • The Scholarship is open to all commencing international students enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate coursework full degree

This scholarship is applicable for the following courses in The University of Sydney in Australia

  • Master of Data Science

  • This scholarship is applicable for all the undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs offered at the University of Sydney 

 

 

Eligibility

 

Applicants:

  • must hold any one of the following:
    • The equivalent of a four-year Australian bachelor's degree with honours in a quantitative discipline* with a minimum credit average (65 percent)
    • An equivalent qualification with a research component or an Australian master's degree in a quantitative discipline* with a minimum credit average (65 percent), or equivalent qualification
  • A quantitative discipline includes data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, finance, or other disciplines that are deemed equivalent. As a guideline, the curriculum of a quantitative discipline should include some study of mathematics including statistics at the tertiary level
  • Must satisfy the English language proficiency requirement by submitting one of the following tests:
    • IELTS- Overall score of 6.5, with a minimum score of 6.0 in each band 
    • TOEFL- overall score of 85, with a minimum of 17 in reading, listening, and speaking and 19 in writing
    • PTE- Overall score of 61 and a minimum result of 54 in each band
  • Must have applied for but not yet commenced a bachelor’s degree or a coursework master’s degree that is a CRICOS registered award program usually delivered onshore at the University of Sydney
  • receive an unconditional offer of admission by the relevant close date
