The University of Melbourne invites applications for the University of Melbourne, Tom Zucker Scholarship in Employment Law and Labor Relations Law 2021. The purpose of this scholarship is to advance the cause of the labor movement in Australia. The selected candidate will get financial support of up to AUD 12,500 to support his/her studies in law, legal studies and, criminology.

The Selection Committee will evaluate the applications based on academic merit and demonstrated financial need.

Terms and Conditions

  • Applicants must be enrolled in either the Graduate Diploma or Masters of Employment at the Melbourne Law School.
  •  Part-time students may be eligible to receive this scholarship.
  • The scholarship may be shared among two or more applicants.
  • This scholarship cannot be deferred to the following year.

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • Be an enrolled student in either the Graduate Diploma or Masters of Employment and Labor Relations Law at Melbourne Law School,
  • Be employed by, or be an official of, an Australian trade union or peak union organization
  • Be an Australian / domestic student or an International student
