Scholarship Overview
The University of Melbourne invites applications for the University of Melbourne, Sport Access Scholarship 2021. This scholarship aims to offer complimentary fitness membership to students facing financial hardship. The University is offering approximately 150 scholarships to the most deserving candidates. Selected scholars will get benefits of at least AUD 800 including access to various fitness amenities at the University.
Benefits
- Unlimited use of the Strength & Fitness Gym
- A free introductory session with a trainer in the Strength and Fitness Gym and one complimentary training program per month (subject to availability)
- Unlimited access to Group Fitness classes (subject to maximum class numbers)
- Access to Member rates for all other MU Sports services and facilities, such as court hire and accommodation at the Melbourne University Ski Lodge
- Free member lockers
Selection Criteria
The Selection Committee will evaluate the applications based on the quality of their personal statement and level of financial need.
Terms and Conditions
- This scholarship is conditional on maintaining an academic status of good standing.

Eligibility
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Be enrolled in a course of study with the University of Melbourne
- Have an academic status of good standing
- Not be receiving subsidized Fitness Membership Access through alternative means or programs
- Not have a current MU Sports Fitness Membership, or have had an MU Sports Fitness Membership in the past 6 months
- Be an Australian/domestic student/International student
