The University of Alberta offers Excellence Scholarships to all the Indian students entering their first year of their studies. This scholarship is applicable to most undergraduate courses at the University of Alberta in Canada. The University of Alberta - India First Year Excellence Scholarships cover the entire cost of tuition.

Shortlisting Process

The selection of scholars for the University of Alberta - India First Year Excellence Scholarships involves a multi-stage process. The scholars will be selected after a thorough assessment of all the applicants. 

Terms and Conditions

The continuation of the scholarship depends on the good academic performance of the scholars in the examinations conducted by their respective universities.

Renewal cases of stipend holders who are not promoted to the next year will not be considered for further renewal.

• The student must be studying in Canada on a study permit with superior academic achievement entering the first year of a University of Alberta undergraduate degree program from India.

• Selection would be based on high school academic standing.

• Students must have graduated from a high school in India and have less than 24 IB, AP, or A-Level credits when beginning their undergraduate program at the University of Alberta.
