Scholarship Overview

The TOEFL Scholarship Program in India (Masters) is a merit-based scholarship programme meant for Indian students. This scholarship supports a variety of educational initiatives aimed at helping students worldwide achieve their academic goals. The program in India recognizes TOEFL test takers who are in pursuit of undergraduate or graduate study in India or abroad.

Shortlisting Process

The selection of scholars for the TOEFL Scholarship Program in India (Masters) involves a multi-stage process. The scholars will be selected after a thorough assessment of merit of all the applicants. The selection process includes:

  • Telephonic interviews for further shortlisting of candidates.

Terms and Conditions

The continuation of the scholarship depends on the good academic performance of the scholars in the examinations conducted by their respective universities.

Renewal cases of stipend holders who are not promoted to the next year will not be considered for further renewal.

 

Eligibility

  • Applicants must:
    • be a resident of India.
    • begin undergraduate or graduate study between June 2016 and May 2017 at a university or college listed in the TOEFL® Destination Search at www.toeflgoanywhere.org.
    • hold a grade-point average of 80 or higher on a 100-point scale, or a 3.0 grade-point average or higher on a 4-point scale.
    • demonstrate English proficiency with a valid TOEFL score.
  • Applicants will be evaluated on English-communication skills, academic record, leadership skills and extracurricular activities.
