Scholarship Overview
The RTP Stipend Scholarship (RSS) is a unique scholarship programme offered by RMIT University. In essence, the RTP Stipend Scholarships are funded by the Australian Government. When students apply for a research scholarship through one of the University’s rounds, they will automatically be considered for all the scholarships for which they are eligible. This scholarship is applicable for the following courses in RMIT University in Australia -
- Master of Science (Mathematical Sciences)
- Master of Science (Psychology)
- Master of Business (Supply Chain & Logistics)
- Master of Business (Business Information Systems)
- Master of Technology (Fashion & Textiles)
- Master of Architecture
- Master of Business (Business & Law)
Shortlisting Process
The selection of scholars for the RTP Stipend Scholarship (RSS) involves a multi-stage process. The scholars will be selected after a thorough assessment of all the applicants.
Terms and Conditions
The continuation of the scholarship depends on the good academic performance of the scholars in the examinations conducted by their respective universities.
Renewal cases of stipend holders who are not promoted to the next year will not be considered for further renewal
Eligibility
- Applicants who have achieved a high distinction in the final two years of the qualifying program(s). At RMIT a grade of high distinction represents academic achievement of 80% or higher.
- Applicants may be considered by RMIT as having an equivalent level of academic attainment, taking into account previous study, relevant work experience, research publications, and other research experience.
- Applicants who are able to take receipt of a scholarship for a minimum 12 months duration on a full-time basis (or part-time equivalent) because of prior enrolment in a graduate research programme.
- Applicants who have not already completed a graduate research program at the same or higher course level. For example, Masters by Research applicants should not have already completed a Masters by Research or Ph.D.
- An applicant must not previously have held an RMIT or Commonwealth-funded postgraduate research scholarship unless it was terminated within six months of the scholarship’s payments commencing.
- Applicants who are or will be enrolled and primarily based at an RMIT Australian campus.
- TOEFL: With a minimum score of 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking, and 21 in Writing.
- IELTS: With no individual band below 6.0.
- PTE: With no communication band less than 50.
- These scholarships are awarded through the University’s research scholarship rounds. All scholarship applications are ranked in accordance with the ranking model that has been approved by RMIT’s Research Committee.
