The University of Amsterdam is looking for an enthusiastic Ph.D. student to work on the XENONnT direct Dark Matter detection experiment. Therefore, the university has initiated a Ph.D. position in Dark Matter Research experiment 2021 which provides scholarship support to all students enrolling for the role.

Value of Ph.D. position in Dark Matter Research 2021:

Successful applicants of the  Ph.D. position in Dark Matter Research 2021 will receive the salary, depending on relevant experience before the beginning of the employment contract, will be €2,395 to €3,061 (scale P) gross per month, based on a full-time contract (38 hours a week), exclusive 8% holiday allowance and 8,3% end-of-year bonus.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Physics or equivalent (expected to be received by fall 2021).
  • Applicants must excel academically, as indicated by grade transcript and curriculum vitae.
  • Applicants must demonstrate fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Applicants must have the ability and interest to work in a collaborative team.
  • Applicants must have an interest in sharing science with the wider non-scientist community.
