Scholarship Overview

The Marjorie Young Bell Scholarships are awarded by Mount Allison University in Canada. These scholarships are applicable to all the undergraduate courses at the university. The Mount Allison's Bell Scholarships are among the largest undergraduate awards in Canada.

Shortlisting Process

The selection of scholars for the Marjorie Young Bell Scholarships involves a multi-stage process. The scholars will be selected after a thorough assessment of all the applicants. 

Terms and Conditions

The continuation of the scholarship depends on the good academic performance of the scholars in the examinations conducted by their respective universities.

Renewal cases of stipend holders who are not promoted to the next year will not be considered for further renewal.

 

Eligibility

 

  • Applicants must have passed high school from:
    • Higher Secondary Certificate Examinations (HSC).
    • Senior School Certificate Examinations (CBSE).
    • Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (ISC board).
  • Applicants must have minimum scores of 55 percent in all courses taken. Typically only four courses are taken/available to be taken.
  • Required course: Grade 12 math.
  • Applicants may be considered for early admission on their final grade 11 transcripts
    • A minimum admissions average of 80% is required for consideration.
  • TOEFL score of 90 with no band score lower than 20.
  • Academic (IELTS) score of 6.5 with no band score lower than 6.
  • Outstanding high school graduates.
  • Demonstrated strong academic ability, leadership capability, volunteer work, extracurricular activities, work experience, and good citizenship.

Application Documents

  • Early admission (October-January) :Final Grade 11 transcript & Grade 12 course list.
  • General admission (February-September) :Mid-year Grade 12 transcript or final high school transcript.
  • Proof of English Language proficiency.
  • Three reference letters.
  • An essay (question emailed to applicant once application for admission is submitted).
