The University of Kent has initiated The Kent Scholarship for Academic Excellence in UK, 2021 to assist financial support to all the students enrolling in any course of study at the university.

Value of University of Kent - The Kent Scholarship for Academic Excellence in UK, 2021:

The successful applicants of the University of Kent - The Kent Scholarship for Academic Excellence in UK, 2021 will receive a scholarship value of £2,000 for stage 1 (first year) of study.

Eligibility

  • Applicants from all nationalities are eligible.
  • Applicants must be entering the first year (Stage 1) of undergraduate degree study at the University of Kent’s Canterbury or Medway campus from September 2021. 
  • Applicants must have achieved the required grades for at least one of the qualifications specified below.
  • Applicants muts have not attained any qualification higher than those listed below (i.e. do not already hold an undergraduate degree).
  • Applicants must not be participating in the Higher Degree Apprenticeship scheme.
  • Applicants must satisfy onditions of entry to the University of Kent.
  • Applicants must have A*AA at A level (or specified equivalents) and meet other criteria.

How To Apply

If you are from the UK or Ireland, you have to apply through UCAS. 

If you meet the following conditions, you may choose to apply through UCAS or directly on our website:

  1. You are NOT from the UK or Ireland.
  2. You do NOT pay home fee (i.e. you pay international or special EU fee)
  3. You have never used UCAS AND you do not intend to use UCAS in the future

 Please remember if you are eligible and intend to apply directly on our website, you should NOT use UCAS at any point. Submitting your application to both UCAS and our website will cause issues to your application.

Special courses

If you are applying for a subject-specific foundation programme, you apply in the same way as for a three-year undergraduate degree.

Applications for our International Foundation Programme (IFP) can be made:

  • directly to Kent via the International Foundation Programme site
  • via one of Kent's overseas representatives
  • via UCAS. If you are submitting other applications to Kent through UCAS, your IFP application must also be made through UCAS.

Late applications
A process called 'Clearing' takes place in July and August, running from 1st July annually. We will provide an updated list of all of the Kent degrees that still have places available once Clearing opens – this can give you another chance to apply.
